Tour de Ile aux Nattes

Ile aux Nattes is a beautiful, secluded and very small island. That means, that you can sail all around it in just two hours – and in half a day, you get to see the most popular spots too.

This trip will take you around the island in a comfortable boat. You’ll get to see the entire island from the seafront, visit the lighthouse, the viewpoint of Maison Blanche, and – if you want – the local bakery, which is happy to show off the local baking methods. All in all, the trip takes about 4 hours.

The price includes the boat, the guide, and the visits, but if you wish to stay a moment at Maison Blanche and enjoy a drink or buy a snack at the local bakery, it’s at your own expense.

A boy sailing a pirouge in from of Aurora Lodge

On this half-day trip, you get to explore the marine life of Ile aux Nattes. your boat picks you up after breakfast, and off you go to the south barrier. It’s only about 30 minutes from the lodge. At the barrier, you’ll visit two sites with a variety of fish, and corals, and if you’re lucky, you might see a turtle, ray, or octopus.

On this trip, you’ll go with a comfortable boat and a crew of two. One will assist you in the ocean and guide you to the good spots; the other stays in the boat and keeps an eye out for you while you enjoy the experience. When you’ve finished exploring the reef, you’ll set the course back to the lodge in time for lunch. All in all the trip lasts about 4 hours.

If you’re not a great swimmer, don’t let that scare you. We’ll simply plan a trip in the calm waters within the lagune instead. There’s still plenty of interesting marine life to discover.

On this excursion, you’ll leave with a boat from the shores of Aurora, and sail for about one hour to reach Ilot Sable. On the way there, you’ll learn about the cultural meaning of Fady’s, as Ilot Sable is considered a sacred place.

Upon arrival, you’ll spend some time walking on the sacred sand, collecting shells, and taking in the view and the feeling of the power of the ocean. When you’re ready to leave, our captain will take you to a beautiful reef just nearby, where you can enjoy the underwater life and the beautiful coral formations.
