Leva has been the star of our show for ages, first shaking up cocktails like a pro, but let’s be honest—his heart truly belongs to the colorful saga of Sainte Marie. Now, as our official in-house guide he regales visitors with tales of the island’s notorious pirate escapades. With a grin that could charm a treasure map, Leva weaves stories that whisk our guests away on a rollicking romp through Sainte Marie’s cheeky, swashbuckling past.
Mainteinance Super Hero
Meet Aristide, the real-life version of Aquaman and Tesla combined! He’s the hero of the day, every day, making sure your water and electricity never stop flowing. And boy, oh boy, does this guy know how to light up a room! With the biggest smile this side of the equator, Aristide is the ultimate mood booster. When you’re feeling down, just look for Aristide and his pearly whites – you won’t regret it.
Cook
This skilled cook has been cooking up a storm for over 20 years and has perfected each recipe like no other. We can safely say that our restaurant would be nothing without her. She’s not just a cook, she’s a pillar of our establishment, the glue that holds the flavors together and makes our guests keep coming back for more. So, if you’re looking for something delicious to treat your taste buds, come and visit us and let Sacné work her flavor magic on you!
Waiter & Barman
Introducing Antonio, our newest maestro behind the bar and a true wizard of hospitality! Antonio approaches his craft with a seriousness that ensures every detail is perfect, yet he’s ever charming, enchanting clients with his delightful demeanor. His cocktails? Seriously good – they’re the stuff of legend, crafted with precision and passion. We have incredibly high hopes for Antonio!
Gardener
Meet Bar Jot, one of our most important team members! He’s the king of the garden, making sure that our 1 hectare of terrain flourishes and looks incredible. Easier said than done! But not for Bar Jot – No one is more passionate about flowers and fruits than he is, and he will go out of his way to make sure our clients wake up to nothing but beautiful views and are welcomed with fresh coconuts.
Waiter & Bar Woman
Julie is a pillar of our service team in the restaurant. With her attention to detail and passion for the experience of our clients, she comes to work every day with enthusiasm and force. While her demeanor sometimes comes off as rough, we know that is only because she really cares. Nobody ends a busy work day like her, when she proudly says: “YES, we barely had time to sit down today!”
Kitchen Aid
Anita, our exceptional kitchen aide, is undoubtedly the breakfast genius who keeps our entire team energized with her absolutely delicious food. While she is diligently busy making pancakes for our clients, it is her real strength that lies in skillfully feeding our hungry crew, making sure they’re happy and well-fed throughout the day. Anita’s thoughtfully prepared meals not only nourish our bodies but also bring our team together, one delightful bite at a time.
Gardener
Meet Luc, our resident green thumb and smile expert. With a passion for gardening and a disposition that’s always sunny, Luc is the perfect addition to our team. Whether he’s helping to cultivate our garden or spreading joy with his infectious grin, he’s always eager to lend a hand. So if you’re ever in need of some greenery or just a pick-me-up, look no further than Luc. Just be warned, his positivity is contagious!
Maid
Isabelle is our cleaning superhero, cape and all! Quick as a flash and reliable as your morning coffee, she makes sure our clients enjoy their stay in rooms so clean you could eat off the floor (but please don’t). With her eagle-eyed attention to detail and relentless work ethic, she’s the secret ingredient in our hospitality magic!
Maintenance
Our resident electrical wizard, Fabrice, is the epitome of stability and helpfulness here at Aurora Lodge. He’s got what we like to call “electrical fingers” – meaning he’s an electrician of the highest caliber, making sure everything from our lights to our kitchen appliances hums along perfectly. But Fabrice’s talents don’t stop there; he’s our go-to guy for all things maintenance, always lending a hand wherever it’s needed with a calm demeanor and a solution-oriented mind. He’s truly an indispensable part of our team!
Waiter & Bar Woman
When Marie first joined us as a waitress and barwoman, she was completely unexperienced, but what a journey it’s been! She’s blossomed into an incredibly charming and efficient part of our team, proving that dedication and a bright smile can go a long way. Guests absolutely adore her warmth and quick wit. And if you’re lucky enough to order a Mai Tai, be sure to ask for her signature “Marie Tai”—her unique take on the classic is a delightful surprise that you won’t soon forget! Marie is truly a testament to growth and a shining example of the heart of Aurora Lodge.
Gardener
Meet Floran, the newest member of our gardening crew! Don’t let his lack of smile fool you – he’s all business when it comes to getting the job done. In fact, we’ve never seen anyone dig a hole faster or prune a bush with such precision. With his intense focus and dedication to his craft, we’re starting to think he might even be a secret superhero in disguise. So if you see Floran out in the garden, don’t be intimidated by his serious demeanor – just sit back and watch as he transforms your yard into a work of art.
Night Guard
Jeson may be the night guard, but don’t let his serious demeanor fool you. He’s a real softie at heart and his top priority is protecting our guests and their belongings. When everyone else is snuggled up in bed, Jeson is vigilantly watching over the premises, ready to save the day (or night). He’s like a superhero with a flash light and a walkie-talkie. So rest assured, if you hear some rustling in the middle of the night, it’s probably just Jeson doing his job and not an alien invasion. Thank you, Jeson, for being our protector and our hero in the shadows!
Lingere
Meet Ivet, our laundry guru and queen of cleanliness! She’s the one who keeps our linens crisp and our tables looking fabulous. With her impressive laundry skills, she can tackle stains like a ninja and fold fitted sheets with ease. But what really sets Ivet apart is her infectious positivity. She comes to work every day with a smile that could light up a room. In fact, we suspect she might have a secret stash of sunshine tucked away somewhere. So if you’re looking for a dose of good vibes, just pop by the laundry room and say hi to Ivet!
Maid
Meet Mariane, our latest addition to our powerhouse of femme de chambre. You’ll often find her moving around the bungalows, like a ninja in the night, dusting off every surface and ensuring a picture-perfect setting for our guests. Mariane is shy, and may not be the most exuberant member of the team, but when it comes to making your stay absolutely pristine she’s the one you’ll want on your side. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed by her magic touch.
Receptionist
Our new receptionist, Marielle, is an absolute powerhouse! With her incredible dedication and sky-high ambition, she’s managed to learn more in a short amount of time than anyone we’ve ever seen. Seriously, no one gives more effort than Marielle, and it shows—she always, always gets the job done, and does it brilliantly. We’re beyond thrilled to have her dedication and unwavering commitment greeting our guests at Aurora Lodge!
Cook
Get ready to be impressed by Chanel, our incredibly talented young cook! Fresh out of school, Chanel has truly flourished, stepping up to basically run the kitchen whenever our head chef is away. You’ll rarely, if ever, catch him without a bright smile on his face, no matter how busy things get. And when it comes to tackling a mountain of dishes, Chanel is never afraid to roll up his sleeves and get the job done. He’s a true star in the making and a vital ingredient in the magic of Aurora Lodge
Agent de Maintenance
Our maintenance marvel, Fredo, is a true artist with a remarkable flair for natural materials! Give him some Ravinala or falafa, and there’s simply nothing he can’t create—his hands bring the island’s essence to life in incredible ways. And talk about a worker! We’re convinced Fredo holds the world record for daily steps; he’s constantly in motion, tirelessly ensuring everything at Aurora Lodge is in perfect order. His dedication and craftsmanship are truly inspiring!
Captain
Introducing Rodie, the one and only captain of our beloved boat, Anelia! Rodie is truly the sunshine on rainy days—his infectious good humor lifts everyone’s spirits. In the mornings, we often hear his hearty laugh long before he even reaches work, bringing a wave of cheer with him. While he might be a little too loud sometimes, we wouldn’t have it any other way! We’re incredibly happy and confident to have Rodie in charge of the safety of our clients at sea, knowing they’re in the most jovial and capable hands.
Cook
Meet Bruno, our fantastic cook who truly speeds up the entire team with his presence! When Bruno steps into the kitchen, you can feel the energy shift; his calm yet incredibly focused approach elevates everyone around him. Few hands are as capable as his in the kitchen, making every service run seamlessly and every dish a delight. We genuinely appreciate his vast experience every single day, as he brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to every meal he crafts. Bruno isn’t just a cook; he’s an invaluable force at Aurora Lodge.
Agent de Maintenance
Say hello to Sandros, our wonderful maintenance guy who quite literally sings his way through the day! We’re pretty sure his cheerful tunes are the secret to why he’s always so incredibly happy and efficient. It’s clear he genuinely enjoys his work, and it shows—whether he’s painting, gardening, or tackling heavy-duty tasks, Sandros approaches everything with a vibrant energy that makes the work enjoy him right back!
Head Chef
In the center of our restaurant, we have our Head Chef, Donné. Donné’s actual name means “Given by God” – and this is how we feel about him! Nobody makes our kitchen run like him. And while his bosses sometimes have some slightly too modern ideas (his words, not ours) of what our menu should offer, he grabs the ideas without a shed of fear, and brings them to life! But what we love the most about him, is his passion for fresh quality ingredients, and how he manages his team with a firm but gentle hand – the Aurora style.
Waiter
Small in size, but full of power. Meet Linah. Nobody is neat and organized like Linah. She comes to work every day with her notebook and her bright mind and puts an honor into doing her best – and more. One thing we can promise is, that Linah will never forget your name or how you prefer your coffee. We’re particularly fond of her because she’s a team player with capital T, and always has our backs.
Receptionist
Meet Lina, our resident multitasking superhero. Her sharp eye for detail and warm demeanor make her the ultimate receptionist/ service-person extraordinaire at our restaurant. Not only does Lina manage to keep the ship steady when the big bosses are out, she also makes sure the administration always runs smoothly. Lina is the unsung hero of our team. She’s basically the glue that keeps us all together, and we’re pretty sure she’s part mermaid, considering how smoothly she navigates the daily restaurant madness. So if you ever need a helping hand, Lina is your girl.
Mascot & Guard
Humphrey, Pomme Frites, Sausage, Adam. This sweet guy sure has many names. Humphrey is our hotel dog/guardian/mascot. While Jeson takes care of the valuables of us and our clients, Humphrey guards the barrier of the terrain and makes sure that street dogs, zebus, chicken-stealing cats, and fishermen keep an acceptable distance while passing the terrain. But, his most important role is to shower the team with love, and make sure that pancakes are made on time!
Owner & Manager
Meet Karen – the least important member of our team (her own words, not ours!). As our owner and manager, she keeps things running smoothly (mostly by staying out of our way). But don’t let her lack of self-importance fool you – Karen is the heart and soul of our organization. Her boundless positive energy and unwavering vision for the future inspire us all (even if we pretend not to notice). And while she may hold the big title, Karen deeply values every member of our team. In fact, we suspect she secretly wishes she could trade places with the rest of us. But until that day comes, we’ll happily let Karen do her thing (and maybe even let her think she’s in charge).
