Ile aux Nattes has that special unspoiled, calm, and Robinson-Crusoe vibe, that only exists in very few places. It is surrounded by a double coral barriere offering a safe and calm lagune – and endless snorkling opportunities. Furthermore the island is home to beautiful flora (such as orchids, palm trees, and flowers in every imaginable color) and fauna (such as lemurs, rare birds, and colorful lizards).

Ile aux Nattes is a small tropical island in Madagascar. It’s located south of Ile Sainte Marie, in the Indian Ocean.

How to Get Here?
There are two steps to reaching Ile aux Nattes (well, three, but the last is a pure pleasure). First you have to reach the international airport in Antananarivo, and thereafter jump on a national flight or a private charter. Arriving with private charter is often the the fastest, most practical, and cheapest when traveling in groups.
International Flight(s) from Hometown to TNR
Depending on where your group is arriving from, the first and longest part of the journey will take part from your local airport, to the international airport Ivato in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar.
Local Flight (Tsaradia) or Private Charter to Ile Sainte Marie
From Ivato you can take a flight with Tsaradia, the local airline, to Sainte Marie. Or you can take a private charter flight. The price difference between Tsaradia and the private charter is minimal, and, when traveling in groups, often cheaper. We recommend private charters, as they are more stable. And we're happy to help you find the right flying-partner. The cost of a private charter should be estimated to around 250€ per way, and the national flights around 200€ per way.
A Short and Beautiful Boatride to Aurora Lodge
From the airport we'll pick you up in tuktuks, and take you to "La Pointe" - a 10 minute drive from the airport. And from here, we'll jump on a boat and enjoy the lagune for 20-30 minutes until we reach Aurora Lodge. The ride is simply beautiful.
Our Yoga Studio
Our ocean-faced yoga studio assures, that yoga stays on the menu even on rainy days. With its cement floor, it creates the perfect underlay for optimal training. You are, of course, always welcome to move the yoga session to our large tropical garden – or to the beach!
We have yoga mats and yoga blocks available at the lodge, and use of that equipment is included in the price.

For the breaks between yoga sessions, we’ve got a wide selection of things to do. We promise, you won’t be bored. The lodge itself has a bundle of facilities to enjoy on the premises, and if that’s not interesting enough, we can easily plan you an excursion or two, or shower you in activities.
And not to forget the option of exploring Ile aux Nattes. The island is full of great restaurants, bars and viewpoints. Furthermore, it has an interesting cultural life and an incredibly friendly population.
Aurora Bar & Restaurant
The menu at Aurora Resto & Bar is in a tapas format inspired by the world’s kitchens, and adapted to our local products. Our dishes are fresh, sustainable, and tasty.
Furthermore, we have a large variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes – and we’re always happy to create special dishes, if there are specific dietary restrictions or local dishes you’d like to taste.
The bar invites you to enjoy a large variety of fresh juices, cocktails, local beers and sodas. And of course a small selection of wines.
Not to forget the local specialty Rhum Arrangé, which is rum flavored by our garden.
Massage Salon
We run our massage salon with an expert in the field, Alice, who’s managed spa’s all around the country. That means, that we can guarantee a high quality experience, as well as an interesting massage menu.
Retreat Pricing
When you book your wellness retreat at Aurora, you book the entire lodge. We do this to give your yogi’s the best possible – and most relaxing – experience. It also means, that you’re able to use the entire area for activities at all times. And that we can customize your experience as much as possible.
The pricing below is therefor the lease of the entire hotel pr. day for a minimum amount of days. On top of this fee, you’ll have the expense of food&beverages and activities (if wanted). The restaurant will be open for other visitors during lunch, but as a retreat group you can choose to go with our menu, or have the kitchen make dishes specially designed for the group and food preferences.
The prices below requires a minimum of 7 guests including the instructor. Our maximum capacity is 14 guests including instructor, but in certain cases, we can go up to 22 people. However, it will be crowded in the bungalows, so if your guests do not know each other very well, we do not recommend it.

Food & Beverage
All pensions include coffee and tea ad libitum plus 1 x 1,5 liter bottle of water per day. All prices are per person per day but excluding drinks not mentioned above.
Add-ons
A few luxury add-ons to be considered for to make the retreat even better and more convenient for the guests. The massage package can be purchased individually, but does require notice.
All tourists staying in Sainte Marie, are subject to the tourist tax. The tax is set at 10,000 Ariary (Approx. 5€) per person, and applies to all people over the age of 5. It is payable once and is valid only for the duration of the guest’s stay in the island.
The tourist vignette or bungalow tax is set at 1,000 Ariary (Approx. 0,2 €) per day per person. This tax is applicable for the duration of the guests stay in the lodge.
These taxes are not included in the pricing above.
Payment Conditions
There’s, of course, a few conditions to working with us. Especially regarding the payment, as we are taking our lodge out of the market for you and your clients. Futhermore, you can in the following points find the information for your clients in regards to how they pay their individual purchases at the lodge when the retreat has come to an end.
50% of the payment for the accommodation, food, and planned activities must be made at the latest two month before the arrival by bank transfer in EUR. Late payment may result in cancellation of the reservation.
The remaining amount must be paid at the latest one week before arrival.
All drinks and individual purchases from the guests must be paid at checkout before the groups departure. For that purpose, we offer a wide range of payment options to suit our customers’ needs, including card payments. Please note that a 3% or 3,5% fee will be applied to all card payments depending on the type of card.
Alternatively we do accept bank transfers and cash payments.
Our hotel is located in Madagascar, and therefor our local currency is the Ariary, and not the Euro. We accept € on card payments and bank transfers, but not in cash at the lodge.
If the clients wishes to pay in Euro with creditcard at checkout, we add a 5% exchange fee. However, it is also possible to pay in Ariary with creditcard. In this case, it is the banks transaction fee that counts, which is often the cheaper solution depending on the bank.
